This is a prime example of a topic gaining traction on the internet, eventually becoming autonomous. As the debate around age verification continues, secondary debates emerge. These secondary debates don't seem to be very focused on the initial topic itself, thus becoming issues of their own. I'm not sure whether to call this radicalization, because radicalization is more of a side effect of this. It's more of an emergence of a whole new topic.
